The quick and easy post ride snack. Whether you’re coming back from a short run or a long morning ride on the weekend, the post ride snack is essential to refueling the body. I’m usually all over the flavor spectrum, so I went with some Hot and Spicy and Pepper Jack with Dark Chocolate, White Cheddar and White Chocolate, Original and Milk and Dark Chocolate, so try the Cheez-It Toffee Protein Bars! Ingredients: 1 box of the Cheez-It’s, any flavor you desire! 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) 1 cup, packed light brown sugar 25oz. (2.5 bags) of white, milk, or dark chocolate chips 1 cup of crushed toasted walnuts, almond slices, or pecan pieces Optional: 2.5 cups or 200grams of chocolate or vanilla whey protein blended thoroughly into the melted chocolate, trick is to add ½ stick of melted butter to help blend.
If you’re not eating them post ride be careful, they are deadly delicious as many of my friend experienced last Saturday! There you have it, staying Fueled By Cheez!! |
